• 6. 'Is this a dedicated vehicle or shared load?' — Shared is cheaper but adds days. Know which one you are buying and what delivery date each promises.
• 7. 'What is the delivery timeline — in writing?' — A professional gives a realistic window and a coordinator's number. Promises of 'kal pahunch jayega' for a 1,500 km move are fiction.
• 8. 'What payment schedule do you follow?' — Reasonable advance at loading, balance at delivery is normal. Demands of 100% advance before packing are not.
• 9. 'Who is my single point of contact during the move?' — You need one coordinator with a name and phone number, not a call centre ticket.
• 10. 'Can you share recent customer reviews or references?' — Established movers have reviews, photos and repeat customers. New 'companies' with stock photos and no address do not.
